Pet and Home Watch Checklist
Checklist of what you should do before you leave. You will review these things with Auntie Cathy:
AND if you are going to be leaving your pet at Auntie Cathy’s home you will need:
Payment Terms:
Arrange in advance a payment plan between yourself and Auntie Cathy’s.
Agreement plans between you and Auntie Cathy which includes the following items:
- Food - please provide enough food to last for the duration of your absence. It may be good to leave extra in case you are delayed on your return.
- Proof of Vaccinations when required.
- Specific directions will be discussed on your pets needs, habits, quirks, anxieties and ways to make life as easy as possible for your pet while you are gone. Music or TV on? Special treats or routines?
- A walk through of your home is important so Auntie Cathy knows where things are for your pet and for unforeseeable issues that may arise. Music / TV left on? Lights on/off? Rotate blinds? Trash?
- First Aid Kit (Auntie Cathy always has one with her if you don’t have one). For your information.
- Auntie Cathy is Pet First Aid and CPR certified.
- Two sets of working keys, code and entry instructions.
AND if you are going to be leaving your pet at Auntie Cathy’s home you will need:
- Pets bedding or you may use hers. Food and treats. Special toy.

Arrange in advance a payment plan between yourself and Auntie Cathy’s.
Agreement plans between you and Auntie Cathy which includes the following items:
- Itinerary and contact number for where you are going and numbers of how to reach you (where you are staying as well as your cell phone numbers).
- Emergency Contact and service numbers in case you can’t be reached and there is a pet or home concern or emergency, otherwise Auntie Cathy will use her discretion.
- Medications, how to administer, how often, what the medication is for and what to look out for. Wether the medication needs to be administered precisely at a certain time or within a time frame is important. Please make sure before you leave that you have enough to last while you are gone.
- Veterinarian's contact information just in case your pet needs to go to the vet in a non-emergency. Leaving your credit card info on file at your vets office is a good idea. Be sure to sign the “permission to treat” page allowing Auntie Cathy to utilize a 24 hour vet in an emergency. Attempts to reach you will always be made first.
